Mental Math: The Multiplication Table

I’m going to be honest here…I suck at memorizing things. I don’t even have the multiplication table memorized. So, what do I do if I need two numbers multiplied? I figure it out on the spot. Let me show you how.

I’ll use 8s to demonstrate my method because they’re the hardest.
